This is an excerpt from a piece that I am writing titled “Exile and the Kingdom,” which is based off of the set of six short stories by Albert Camus with the same name. I had originally planned writing this for brass quintet, and I have actually had it performed before, but since I have made edits since, I wanted to produce a new MIDI realization. Soon, I will want to rewrite this piece for orchestra.
